2024 James J Hill Day

Whoop! We all had an absolutely awesome time at James J Hill! We had board members, youth board members, youth actors, our staff & more talking all about Blue Water with the local residents of Wayzata and beyond!

Highlights included spinning the wheel for candy, tickets to shows, stickers, tattoos and hearing the reactions of families to seeing productions that are based on books they love, such as Dairy of a Wimpy Kid and Magic Treehouse. The older kids were excited to see or be a part of Legally Blonde and Prom!

As a mom and board member, it was so much fun seeing people realize not only that we are right in the city of Wayzata, but that we had tickets to shows at such accessible prices for them to come as a family.

I spoke to lots of local residents who plan to come see shows and new families that are looking forward to sending their kids to camps, classes & auditions!

Awareness is one of our biggest hurdles, so I hope families will continue to share their love of Blue Water and maybe even throw a magnet on their car, a bandana on their dog or their coffee in a mug when they are around town!
